The combined cycle power plant of Bayet (France) is a 400MW plant, that covers an area of approximately 50.000 sqm.
Is  one of the twin plants developed by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A.
This plant supplied by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A.  on a turn-key basis, includes the interconnecting infrastructures (gas pipeline and HV transmission line). The power block has a single shaft configuration.
One of the first input was the evaluation of the construction site, a rural small context in the Auvergne region. In respect to this situation "the green matter" became an important value for the architectural and structural concept. The complex comprises facilities and technological buildings with a different treatment of the material used in the coating skin.
In addition to the buildings, also the external areas were fully revised with new green spaces,  to mitigate the impact of the facilities and buildings in the surrounding environment.
The engineering services provided were the civil design, the foundation and elevation structures. The project involves the vertical structures like steel frames and precast concrete elements.
